Gallagher has been a key player for Chelsea since Mauricio Pochettino took over at Stamford Bridge last summer, even captaining the team on occasion. There have been links with Tottenham since last summer, with reports suggesting Chelsea could command £50million for the 23-year-old. Midfielder has excelled at Goodison Park since joining Everton from Lille in the summer of 2022 and has been one of the standout players in the Premier League this season.
Everton anticipates offers for the Belgium international, with Arsenal and Newcastle reportedly interested in landing the star. However, Chelsea could outbid their Premier League rivals if they generate cash from a Gallagher exit. Everton would demand £50m for Onana if they did decide to sell him.
He could well be the player Chelsea boss Mauricio Pochettino needs during the second half of the season to help propel his team from ninth in the Premier League table up to the European places. The Blues have enjoyed a fine run of form in recent weeks after picking up 12 points from their last four top-flight outings.
