This includes players like Manchester City’s Erling Haaland and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah, who are valued at lower figures due to their age and contract situations. Despite being in a similar contractual scenario, Gallagher’s potential and status as a homegrown player contribute to his higher valuation.
However, there is still controversy surrounding his potential sale, with Joe Cole urging Chelsea not to sell Gallagher. According to CIES, Enzo Fernandez is Chelsea’s highest-valued player, with a valuation of almost £106m. The CIES report also features six Chelsea players in the list of the top 100 highest-valued players globally, with five Premier League players in the top 10.
