Egypt sacrifices a cow at AFCON after bad luck befalls Mohamed Salah

Mohamed Salah’s injury has had a major impact on Egypt’s chances in the Africa Cup of Nations. The Egyptian Football Association took a drastic step by sacrificing a cow in hopes of improving their luck.

Salah’s hamstring injury, coupled with lackluster team performances, has led to concerns for Egypt’s prospects in the tournament. Amid controversies over his recovery, Salah is undergoing treatment in Liverpool.

The Egyptian camp has also faced additional setbacks with injuries to goalkeeper Mohamed El Shenawy and Emam Ashour. The decision to sacrifice a cow echoes a similar move in 2008 when Egypt won the Africa Cup.

Despite the uncertainties, Liverpool has indicated that Salah could rejoin the tournament if he recovers and Egypt progresses. Manager Jurgen Klopp emphasized the importance of a sensible approach to the situation.
