FA Cup fifth-round draw: Manchester United, Liverpool, Chelsea, and Maidstone discover their opponents

Maidstone, a sixth-tier team, pulled off a major upset by defeating Championship team Ipswich 2-1 in the fourth round of the FA Cup. This win secured them a spot in the fifth round. Unfortunately, they were denied the opportunity to face a Premier League team and will have to repeat their efforts when they play against Sheffield Wednesday or Coventry.

Sky News Live will be providing coverage of the FA Cup fifth-round draw, scheduled to take place during the half-time of Liverpool’s fourth-round clash with Norwich. Wolves secured a spot in the fifth round with a 2-0 victory over West Brom, despite a pause in the match due to crowd trouble at the Hawthorns. As a result, ITV confirmed the game would not restart until it was deemed safe.

Liverpool’s manager, Jurgen Klopp, announced his plans to leave the club at the end of the season and will be leading the team in the FA Cup fourth round against Norwich. Maidstone’s historic win over Ipswich has positioned them as underdogs, but they won a significant prize money and have the potential to earn more if they win in the fifth round. The FA Cup fifth round draw is set to take place around 2pm ahead of Liverpool’s fourth round showdown with Norwich at Anfield.

The draw will be conducted by ex-Chelsea and Liverpool star Glen Johnson. Express Sport will provide live coverage of the draw and all the latest updates.
