Premier League rivals reach agreement to sign Antonio Nusa, hijacking Tottenham’s deal

Nusa is rumored to have caught the attention of North Londoners for some time after attracting a lot of attention with his impressive performances in Belgium. Tottenham was recently reported to have started discussions with Brugge for the winger, who was supposedly sought after by Chelsea in the summer. It is said that Nusa has also agreed to the move, with the details of the deal expected to be finalized in the upcoming days. “I try not to think about it so much,” Nusa said earlier this season. “I can’t focus on that, you know. I don’t think it’s good for me. We are talking about very big clubs and that’s where you dream of being in the future.

“I try not to think about money at all. There’s a lot of money in football, so that’s not what’s on my mind. It’s where I can develop best and become as good as possible.” Brentford’s agreement will come as a major blow to Tottenham, who were reportedly hoping to sign Nusa themselves.

Spurs have already welcomed two new faces this month, with Radu Dragusin joining permanently and Timo Werner arriving on loan from RB Leipzig. “As for what happens with the rest of it going forward, as I said last time, we’re always alert and doing work and if we can improve the squad we’ll look to do that,” said Postecoglou. “If there are potentially any outgoings, we’re ready for that depending on what happens.”
