Jesse Lingard, ex-estrella del Manchester United, listo para sorprendente siguiente paso lejos de la Premier League

Jesse Lingard is reportedly on the verge of completing a surprising move to South Korean side FC Seoul. The 31-year-old, who has been without competitive football for over six months, received offers from Saudi Arabia and Turkey but has opted for the K League.

It is understood that South Korea was the destination that intrigued him the most. Lingard is expected to fly out and finalize the deal in the coming days.

Despite previously spending six weeks on trial with West Ham, Lingard wasn’t offered a contract by the club. He played on loan at West Ham in 2021 and was keen to continue his career there, but ultimately, he failed to secure a new contract.

Prior to this, Lingard had spent six weeks on trial with West Ham after leaving Nottingham Forest at the end of last season when his contract expired. He also had trial spells at Steven Gerrard’s Al-Ettifaq last year but wasn’t offered a contract.

Despite making a significant impact at West Ham during his loan spell, Lingard has struggled to find a new club and has not played football in over six months. He had previously been training with West Ham and manager David Moyes, who had hoped to give him a chance to shine.

Lingard was described as being in good condition and close to the level of fitness that was hoped for, but ultimately he failed to capitalize on the opportunity.
