Man Utd: Sir Jim Ratcliffe must be ‘ruthless’ and remove popular star he publicly defended

Man Utd secured a significant victory against Aston Villa with a 2-1 win at Villa Park. INEOS is set to gain full control of Manchester United’s football operations in a deal worth £1.3 billion for a 29% stake, pending ratification by the Premier League.

Sir Jim Ratcliffe, the 71-year-old tycoon behind the acquisition, has expressed his intention to implement a comprehensive overhaul, both on and off the field, with a ruthless approach. This shakeup is expected to see the departure of multiple high-profile players, including Raphael Varane, Anthony Martial, Victor Lindelof, and Aaron Wan-Bissaka, with the latter two approaching the final year of their contracts.

Additionally, Luke Shaw’s fitness concerns resurfaced as he was forced to withdraw during the 2-1 victory over Aston Villa, prompting potential doubts about his reliability, despite his undeniable talent.
