However, several Premier League clubs, including Arsenal, Tottenham, and Chelsea, are also monitoring Toney’s situation, making it a challenging deal to finalize.
United’s ownership, particularly INEOS chief and minority owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe, is concerned about Brentford’s £100 million valuation of Toney. They are hesitant to invest such a significant sum in a player with limited European football experience and potential resale value concerns as he approaches his thirties. Despite this, Greenwood is said to be settled in Spain and open to staying there.
