Robbie Fowler, Liverpool legend, being considered for new Blackburn manager role

Liverpool legend Robbie Fowler is being considered for the position of the new manager of Blackburn. The owners, Venky’s, are discussing Fowler as a potential candidate for the role. The 48-year-old former England striker is looking for an opportunity to showcase his managerial skills in the UK after successful stints in Saudi Arabia, Thailand, India, and Australia. Fowler left Saudi club Al-Qadsiah in December, despite winning six of his eight games in charge.

The prospect of reviving Blackburn, the 1995 Premier League champions, is appealing to him. In addition to Fowler, Blackburn is also considering former Birmingham boss John Eustace as a potential successor to Tomasson. Eustace played a key role in helping Birmingham remain in the Championship against all odds last season. However, the club is exploring various options and keeping an open mind about their next manager, with Fowler being discussed as a potential new boss.
