Philippe Coutinho talks about where Jurgen Klopp could go next

Jurgen Klopp has announced that he will leave Liverpool at the end of the season, expressing a desire to step down due to feeling “run out of energy” in his role. Philippe Coutinho, a former player under Klopp’s management at Liverpool, believes that Klopp has the potential to be successful as the manager of Barcelona if he chooses to take on the position at the Camp Nou. Klopp is aiming to leave Anfield on a high note, with the possibility of a remarkable quadruple still on the table.

Liverpool recently secured their first trophy of the season by defeating Chelsea 1-0 in the Carabao Cup final, with Virgil van Dijk scoring the winning goal in the 118th minute. Despite Klopp’s impending departure, the team’s spirits remain high. However, Klopp plans to take at least a year away from management after leaving Liverpool, though there are rumors of interest from other top clubs hoping to persuade him to reconsider.

Coutinho expressed his admiration for Klopp’s coaching style, emphasizing his positive experience working under him at Liverpool. He also believes that Klopp, along with other potential candidates like Hansi Flick, would be suitable for the Barcelona managerial role. Coutinho’s successful stint under Klopp’s guidance at Anfield ultimately led him to a move to Barcelona in 2018 for £142m after refusing a contract extension offer from Liverpool.
