Rasmus Hojlund adds to Liverpool’s woes after Atalanta defeat

Rasmus Hojlund, a forward for Manchester United, celebrated Atalanta’s unexpected 3-0 win over Liverpool in the Europa League. Liverpool’s struggle against the Italian team culminated in a defeat, with former West Ham striker Gianluca Scamacca scoring twice before Maria Pasalic sealed the result.

Hojlund, who moved to United after scoring 16 goals for Atalanta, marked the victory on social media with the caption “Mola Mia,” roughly translating to ‘never give up’ or ‘stay strong’. Hojlund has had a successful first season at United, scoring 13 goals, but only seven in the Premier League.

Meanwhile, Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp admitted that their Anfield defeat was a “low point” in their season, expressing concerns about their upcoming match against Crystal Palace. Klopp acknowledged Liverpool’s poor performance and emphasized the need to move on from the defeat.

Despite their setback, Liverpool remains second in the Premier League, level on points with leaders Arsenal, and is in contention for a domestic double, aiming to win the league in Klopp’s final season.
