He accused the Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper of not claiming a corner that led to Barcelona’s winning goal in the Champions League. Donnarumma had appeared nervous when claiming crosses in the first half, and his errors seemed to affect his confidence in the second period.

Despite PSG’s lead, an equaliser by Barcelona and a mistake by Donnarumma led to their defeat. Ferdinand voiced his frustration, describing Donnarumma’s error as a ‘crime’.

Fellow pundit Peter Crouch, known for his heading ability, pointed out that Christensen would have known his header was a certain goal due to the space allowed by Donnarumma. Crouch highlighted the impact of Donnarumma’s first-half mistakes, suggesting that the goalkeeper’s reluctance to come out for the corner was due to being scarred by his earlier errors.
