West Ham gives update on George Earthy’s head injury after a frightening incident

George Earthy was taken off on a stretcher in West Ham’s loss to Fulham, with the team confirming his return home and the intention to follow concussion guidelines set by the Football Association and Premier League. Hammers’ medical chief Richard Collinge stated that George is back home and will be monitored as he completes the return to play programme.

The club also expressed gratitude for the support messages and wished George a safe and speedy recovery. Fulham’s 2-0 win, fueled by Andreas Pereira’s brace, was overshadowed by the incident.

West Ham boss David Moyes acknowledged it as a head injury, expressing disappointment for the player and praising his performance in training and on the field. Moyes further highlighted Earthy’s skills and potential contribution to the game, expressing regret for not bringing him on sooner and commending his performance during the time he was on the pitch.
