West Ham player could be banned by UEFA for controversial remarks about Europa League referee.

In London, Michail Antonio of West Ham reacted strongly after their Europa League defeat by Bayer Leverkusen, which ended their European campaign. Despite a valiant effort, a fortuitous deflection off Aaron Cresswell led to their demise in the dying moments of the game.

Antonio criticized the match officials, expressing frustration at the lack of favorable decisions and mentioning the challenges faced by the team during the match. His post-match comments could land him in trouble with UEFA.

The match saw several yellow cards and ejections from both benches, with West Ham’s manager David Moyes expressing dissatisfaction with the officiating. Despite a strong start, West Ham fell slightly short across both legs, unable to overcome their two-goal deficit from the first leg.

Tensions were palpable, with heated exchanges and a brawl on the field leading to multiple ejections. Leverkusen, on the other hand, managed to dominate the second half and ultimately deserved to advance.

Although West Ham showed glimpses of potential, they appeared to run out of steam towards the end of the match.
