Carlos Tevez Hospitalized in Argentina with Statement Released about Former Man Utd Star

Carlos Tevez, the former Manchester United and Manchester City striker, was admitted to hospital in Argentina after experiencing chest pain. Tevez, who also played for West Ham in the Premier League, is currently managing top-flight club Independiente after retiring in 2022. Tevez spent the night at a hospital in San Isidro, a neighbourhood in Buenos Aires, and is due to undergo further testing on Wednesday. Independiente confirmed that Tevez had been hospitalized via an official statement, in which they said the initial results had been ‘satisfactory’.

The club mentioned that Carlos Tevez will remain hospitalized as a precaution until the corresponding tests are completed. Tevez, who is one of only 14 footballers to have played for both Manchester clubs, is yet to make any official comment on the matter. It is reported that he suffers from high blood pressure and regularly undergoes medical checks to keep track of his health. Last year, he was injured in a fall at his house which resulted in him fainting and hitting his head, causing a wound that needed to be stitched up in hospital.

Tevez began his playing career at Boca Juniors before moving to England with West Ham in 2006. He then joined Manchester United and later Manchester City, averaging a goal every two games during his four-year spell at the club. A brief stint in China followed before he returned to Boca Juniors, where he eventually retired. Last year, Tevez began his first step into management with Rosario Central and joined Independiente as their head coach.
