Luke Littler prepared for unfriendly Premier League Darts reception following tweet

After Amad Diallo’s 121st-minute goal that led to an extra-time victory, Littler posted a meme involving himself and the Reds’ head coach on X (previously known as Twitter), shortly afterwards. The image was sourced from Getty.

Despite the impending departure of coach Klopp at the end of the season, Littler’s post triggered a backlash from Liverpool fans following their defeat against United. This loss also meant that Liverpool would not be able to contend for a treble.

Consequently, Littler deleted his post, while fellow United supporters, including the teenager, relished in the distress of their rivals. In an interview with MUTV, Littler mentioned chatting with boxer Tommy Fury and being in a good seat at the match.

He expressed his satisfaction with dressing in proper attire for once, rather than just sporting track pants. Furthermore, Littler expressed his wish to one day showcase the World Championship trophy at Old Trafford.

However, his remarks and jibes at Liverpool are likely to make it challenging for him to gain favor with the crowd at Thursday’s event.
