Notably, Arsenal is likely to prioritize signing a striker in the upcoming summer transfer window. Their pursuit is fueled by the absence of a prolific center-forward, which has hindered their Premier League title pursuit.

Kai Havertz has admirably led the forward line in recent months, but his natural position is behind a No. 9, rather than spearheading the attack himself.

The inconsistency of Gabriel Jesus and Eddie Nketiah has been a source of frustration for Arsenal fans. The duo has combined for just nine Premier League goals this season, falling short of justifying regular starts as Arsenal contends with Manchester City for their first title in 20 years.

There is hope that Zirkzee’s arrival could bolster the team’s attacking prowess. Arsenal has reportedly offered Zirkzee a lucrative five-year contract with a salary of £99,000 per week.

Although Tottenham has previously expressed interest in the player, Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich are said to have a buy-back clause in the deal that sent him to Bologna two years ago. Zirkzee has been instrumental in Bologna’s campaign, netting 12 goals across all competitions this season and aiding their bid for a place in next season’s Champions League.

The club has been linked with various strikers as they prepare for the upcoming transfer window, with reports suggesting that Eddie Nketiah may be offloaded. Ivan Toney from Brentford and Victor Osimhen from Napoli have been identified as potential Arsenal targets due to their impressive performances.

Despite Manchester City’s recent win over Brighton, Arsenal remains at the top of the Premier League, with the title race expected to go down to the wire on the final day of the season.
