Man Utd CEO Sir Jim Ratcliffe provides clues on Mason Greenwood’s comeback

Mason Greenwood’s future at Manchester United is uncertain, despite his loan spell at Getafe. Last September, Greenwood left United on loan after facing backlash due to allegations against him, which were later dropped. At that time, it was announced that United did not expect Greenwood to return to the club. However, with the impending change in ownership as Sir Jim Ratcliffe takes control of football operations, there is speculation about Greenwood’s future. INEOS, the new owners, are reportedly planning a summer transfer window where they will sign a right-back, centre-back, central midfielder, and striker. This suggests that they may opt to replace Greenwood and generate a transfer fee for him. United also have interest in Crystal Palace’s right-winger Michael Olise and could offer Aaron Wan-Bissaka to fend off competition from Chelsea and Liverpool. If United sign a new striker and Olise, there may be no space for Greenwood once he returns from his loan spell. There are several clubs, including Atletico Madrid, Barcelona, and Real Madrid, interested in acquiring Greenwood’s services.
