The Red Devils have been credited with an interest in both players as Sir Jim Ratcliffe prepares to strengthen Erik ten Hag’s squad for next season. Olise has been linked with a move away from Crystal Palace since last summer, when he was reportedly targeted by Chelsea but to no avail.

United have added him to their list of targets but will need to cough up £65 million to secure his services, according to The Mirror. It is said that Olise’s release clause of £65 million will become active at the end of the season, with Palace unlikely to consider selling him for less. Manchester City and Arsenal are also thought to be keen on the former Reading ace, who is tied down at Selhurst Park until the summer of 2027.

Chelsea are still believed to admire Olise but are not expected to renew their pursuit following Cole Palmer’s emergence as a key player at Stamford Bridge. This could open the door for United to pounce, but the Red Devils may well decide to save money by targeting Olmo instead. The Leipzig man’s release clause is believed to stand at £52 million, making him a cheaper option than Olise.

United have already reached out to his camp to discuss the idea of a move, according to Bild, with Olmo reportedly keen on seeking a new challenge in the summer. Mundo Deportivo claim United have been showing ‘serious interest’ in Olmo, while Barcelona are said to have recently met with the player’s representatives. Ratcliffe is reportedly eager to freshen up United’s squad with an influx of younger talent and both Olise and Olmo would fit the bill perfectly.

The former has plenty of room for growth at just 22 years of age and has bagged six Premier League goals as well as three assists this season. Olmo, meanwhile, is three years older than Olise but has the benefit of being able to play on either wing or as a lone striker. This season, he has scored eight goals for Leipzig in all competitions while chipping in with another five assists.
